Biking in Squamish – May the fourth

With life at full tilt lately we shook off the responsibility and it was totally worth it.  After some deliberation on trail choices we warmed up with a standard Rupert then headed to Treasure, Entrails with a In and Out Burger to end.   Colin came up off the couch after two years of pint lifts and London smog for a good epic, renting a new Rocky Mountain Slayer from Corsa Cycles.  Many things were learned, like most things in life, if you toss seven grand at a problem, you’re likely to solve that problem.  In this case that demo bike lust was short lived when we rushed the last of our energy to get the bike to the shop by 5.  The rest of the gang came along, they were fun to see too.

Rider: Heather – Rolling into Treasure trail is a mellow reminder of whats to come
Rider: Berny – Found a patch of flow in a rocky situation
Rider: Molly – Getting familiar with the new hood.
Rider: Berny – After years of viewing the double diamond option, the two girls did it better than me.
Rider: Heather – this line has always had a pucker factor to me, guess it was only me
Rider: Berny – oh, that sign says gap?
Rider: Molly – enjoying the new neighbourhood more than Seattle, no offence tiger mountain.
Rider: Colin – learned fun now costs $6999.99
Rider: Colin – safety third, after brake check, sit back and smile. fourth, safety fourth.
Riders: Stephane and Berny – awe, how adorbs. The dog makes this look easy.
Rider: Colin – Canadian bidet

All in all Colin needs to buy a modern bike and ride more, I need to swap my front tire to run forwards because as a bike mechanic that’s just stupid and friends are fun to ride with.
